Renewable energy systems have become an integral part of the building sector and a key aspect in achieving the climate targets that have been set. To do this, we need a large number of suitably qualified specialists in Germany who are specifically trained and educated for these tasks.

With the help of the new IHK certificate course “Specialist for photovoltaic and heat pump technology”, companies from the specialist trade can qualify their employees from next January and deploy them in their projects in the best possible way.

On October 24, 2024, we will be meeting with representatives from the skilled trades, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the business community in Menteroda for the presentation and official start of registration for the further training course “Specialist for photovoltaics and heat pump technology”, following keynote speeches and providing an insight into the practical training content at the THOR Academy.

Target group:

• Specialist fitters and foremen from all trades

Participation requirements:

• Minimum age of 18 years
• Physical aptitude (fitness for heights)
• Basic understanding of physical laws and basic electrical engineering knowledge
• good knowledge of German

Duration:

• 6 weeks (Mon-Fri) in four modules

Start date:

• 13.01.2025

Conclusion:

• IHK certificate after successful completion of the internal course test

Module 1 + 2 Photovoltaics:

• Basics of photovoltaics
• Occupational safety and personal safety
• Instruction in the various PV components
• Installation of a photovoltaic system
• Grid connection of a photovoltaic system

Module 3 + 4 heat pump:

• Components and functions of a heat pump
• Occupational safety and personal safety
• Assembly under realistic construction site conditions
• Integrating a heat pump into the home network
• Configuration and commissioning
