Our seven young THORians started their training as HVAC plant mechanics at THOR® 3.5 years ago. Our trainees have now completed their apprenticeship and are starting their day-to-day work as fitters.

Yay, it’s done! Our second cohort of trainees completed their apprenticeship after 3.5 years. We are delighted that we can now welcome all seven new junior specialists in the field of heating and sanitary technology. We are particularly proud of our apprentice Mario.

He received an award for his final certificate (1.3) and was honored during the certificate ceremony at the vocational schools of the Unstrut-Hainich district “Johann August Röbling”. Our seven protégés have been on construction site since February – the day-to-day work of a fitter has begun!

For our seven newly qualified THOR® specialists, the day-to-day work of a fitter now begins. As a trained plant mechanic for sanitary, heating and air conditioning technology, they will be working for our customers throughout Germany. They provide support on smaller construction projects or on large construction sites – just like their colleagues. We currently have over 1,000 specialists in seven trades:

• Heating and sanitary technology
• Electrical technology
• Elevator technology
• Ventilation technology
• Refrigeration and air conditioning technology
• Medical gas installations technology
• Pipeline construction

Our THORians are equipped with company cars (including fuel card), tools and machines. This makes them mobile and flexible! Kersten Thor founded his company as a one-man business in April 1998. The Eichsfeld native comes from the trades himself, he is a trained heating engineer, and knows all about the circumstances on building sites. The company now has over 1,000 THORians. The majority of them are industrial and technical specialists who work for customers throughout Germany. Our commercial THORians are also part of the team at our locations.
